Hangover Prevention

There are many ways to prevent and lessen hangovers. To find out what precautions you should take, first think about the symptoms you most often experience and then link them to a specific cause. Once this is done, prevention techniques just start jumping out at you.

Prevent the headache and nausea by staying hydrated. Get some water and a multivitamin ready then set your alarm clock for 3-5 hours after turning in so you can wake up, urinate, and then rehydrate and go back to sleep. You could also just stay up a few hours after getting back home to drain your bladder, rehydrate, and get something light and nutritious into your body.

Don’t mix different types of alcohol in one night, while alcohol is distilled it releases congeners which are one of the causes of the headache you suffer from the next day. When you mix different alcohols with different congeners then you’re feeding your body a double dose of headache-juice. You’re also asking to puke.
